Naledi Village

  • Naledi Village is an incredible community in the Eastern Freestate, nestled in a micr-climate, surrounded by the massive Maluti mountains, this village of around 250 members give hope and inspiration to the nation. Naledi Village represents one of thousands of communities that have been displaced, abused and horrifically mistreated during and since the apartheid era, they have gone through every hardship imaginable, but through all the human rights violations, colonisations and genocides they still stand strong and are co-creating a new way that will pave a path for many other struggling communities in our country and across the world.

Vision and Mission

  • To bring solutions, healing, medicine and wisdom to the planet, bringing forth ancient wisdom into modern times to address the crises, colonisations, genocides and the imbalanced culture that was born from these atrocities that have globally taken place.
  • To remind humanity on the importance of caring for the earth, each-other and spirit.
  • To preserve, protect and integrate our sacred wisdom and culture into modern times, to activate and remind humanity what it means to be a human being, living in the heart.
  • Merging ancient and modern technology to co-create a new way of life.

Current Issues

  • The indigenous peoples of South Africa and land have faced immense human rights violations that have lasted centuries, the oppression and inhumanity endured through the colonialists and brutal Christian missionaries that intended on killing and consuming the indigenous peoples, the ancient culture and the land alike.
  • Illegal European colonies, Christian missionaries and profit driven exploiters have all in the most unsustainable and inhumane ways, exploited and capitalized on the sacred land and its ancient people. This has caused the destruction of incredibly abundant lands, the destruction and oppression of one of our world’s most ancient and wise people and not to mention the normalisation and world-wide acceptance that this mentality of colonisation, appropriation, consumerism, religious imposition, classing systems and detachment from nature has become the natural way of life.
  • A current mentality and culture born from colonisation and atrocity.
  • The loss of culture and the extermination of the way of life that the ancient people live by, who regard mother nature, community and spirit as the most important characteristics of the human species is the greatest issue that the indigenous people and all of the ancient culture and people face.
  • The colonial extermination of people, ancient culture and mother nature from the western mentality systems has given birth to the imbalanced and sick society we live in today.
  • Consumerism, capital driven education, medical and business systems, classing and race policies along with industrialization has proven to put the whole human species in crises, corruption, criminalization, illness and on the brink of extinction as our climate sits on the edge of collapse.
  • The ongoing oppression, racism, undermining, classing systems and lack of basic needs that thousands of communities are going through across our country that stems from colonisations, oppressions, genocides and western mind-states and policies is the main issues our country faces.
  • The exploitation of natural resources on sacred lands for profit driven companies and fossil fuel and mining enterprises.
  • Violence against women and children
  • Impoverishment and unemployment
  • Poor education system
  • High level of imprisonment and incarceration
  • townships overcrowded, poorly funded housing and living conditions.
  • Inadequate health care
  • Epidemic of crime, illness and suicide due to the atrocities, the loss and oppression of ancient culture and suppression of the people
  • Traditional and indigenous culture dying due to the first genocides inflicted upon the people.
  • Traditional rights not recognized or taken seriously by federal governments.

Solutions

  • Helping to protect, preserve and share the wisdom of Naledi Village and the Sacred Valley with the world through building and developing cultural, healing, preservation and resource centres as the central solution along with basic and vital infrastructural necessities, like water purification and management solutions, basic energy/solar solutions, lodging for outside visitors, small scale agriculture and tools/machinery.
  • Opening the cultural and resource centres to individuals, groups, schools, businesses, public, modern medicine systems, environmental groups, activists, civil society and politicians so that we may see first-hand the wisdom, love, solutions that the ancient cultures hold along with understanding the atrocities that have occurred and how these human rights violations, have negatively shaped modern human culture locally and globally and righting these wrongs.
  • Further-more to provide channels and platforms for the Ancient people to have their voices and decisions heard, regarding the state of our world, environment, culture and nature. To be in positions to make a serious, beneficial change on a social, cultural, environmental, economic, political and educational climate.
  • Addressing the current legal and human rights issues in court and beginning to correct these violations.
